MOORE, JOYCE ELAINE WALLACE, 61 - came to this world February 17, 1944 and went home to the Lord on June 17, 2005. Joyce was born in Richmond, VA. She was the daughter of the late Zebedee Benjamin and Nannie Wallace. She was raised mostly in Camden by her late Aunt and Uncle, DeModjeska and Willie Wallace. She was educated through the Camden School District.

After graduation, Joyce served in the Air Force where she met her husband, Henry, who pre-deceased her. After having children, she worked for Bell Atlantic Corporation (now Verizon). She was a member of the Board of Education for the Somers Point School District, and a Mainland Regional High School Band Booster. Joyce was a faithful member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Cape May Court House, and a co-founder of the Hope African Methodist Episcopal Church in Egg Harbor Township. She retired from Bell Atlantic in August 1997 after 25 years as a line tester. She and Henry fulfilled a dream of owning a home in Florida and joined the Heartland Community Church in Kissimmee, FL. She made many wonderful friends throughout her lifetime. Joyce loved to sew, travel and entertain.

Joyce leaves: loving daughters Krystal of Lindenwold, and Melodie of Phoenix, AZ; step-sons Dudley of Weisbaden, Germany, and Stanley of San Francisco, CA; brothers Alexander, Reginald and Vernon of Richmond, VA; sisters Jessie, Elsie, Bertha and Helen of Richmond, VA and sister Rosa of Oxon Hill, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family & friends. Brother William Thomas, and sisters Elizabeth & Juanita preceded her in death.

A Celebration Of Life Service will be held at St. Luke's A.M.E. Church in Egg Harbor City on Saturday October 15, 2005 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

She will be dearly missed.
